Suicide.org is a 501c3 NON-PROFIT Organization and Website.

Please DO NOT HESITATE to contact us but PLEASE read this entire page before sending us an e-mail.

We receive a high volume of e-mail and and thus need to establish some ground rules!

And please note that there are several e-mail departments (each with separate e-mail addresses).

So after reading this page in its entirety, please ensure that you send your e-mail to the appropriate address.

Thank you very much.

Suicide.org is NOT intended to diagnose or treat suicidal individuals. Anyone who is acutely suicidal should call 911 or their local emergency number NOW and receive help from trained mental health professionals.

Please do not send us an e-mail asking for help if you are acutely suicidal. Again, we do not diagnose or treat suicidal individuals.

If you are suicidal, please call:

911

or 1-800-SUICIDE (1-800-784-2433)

And anyone who has ANY information, news, research, statistics, stories, etc., about any aspect of suicide that you believe would help us, please e-mail the information and/or links.

If you have suggestions about topics or articles that you would like to see on Suicide.org, please let us know!

And please submit any new hotlines or support groups that you know of.

We also accept prayer requests for ANY prayer concerning suicide: prayer requests for angels who have died by suicide; prayer requests for suicide survivors; prayer requests for the suicidal, etc.

Please Note:

We receive a high volume of e-mail EVERY DAY, so please understand that not all e-mails can be responded to.

Also, 99.9999999999% of the e-mails that we receive are courteous, professional, respectful, and very helpful. We greatly appreciate that. For the .0000000001% who send idiotic e-mails, want to debate, or want to advance a pro-suicide agenda, you have a 0% chance of a response and your e-mails will be deleted. Don't waste our time . We are concerned with suicide PREVENTION, awareness, and support.

To everyone: Please keep the communications respectful, helpful, and focused (on suicide prevention, awareness, and support), or they will be summarily deleted. Rude or idiotic e-mails FROM ANYONE are NEVER responded to and are immediately deleted. We work EXTREMELY hard at what we do and do not put up with disrespect, pettiness, or bullshit from any person at any juncture. Period.

We always appreciate supportive e-mails from people who enjoyed visiting the site or want to send a thank you.

An ENORMOUS amount of DAILY work goes into this site and organization, AND we also conduct extensive work offline.

The work is excruciatingly painful, emotionally draining, very time consuming, and unbelievably expensive. And there is NO joy whatsoever in this work, but it is THE most important work in the world. So the work is performed with tremendous focus, discipline, dedication, and, most of all, love.

So people who take the time to acknowledge our work and dedication are people who we have GREAT respect for.

We always appreciate a "Thank You."

So, thank you to ALL of the people who send thank you notes and positive e-mails. You are great people and we love you!

Please understand that Suicide.org cannot help anyone with school projects IN ANY WAY -- at any level of education, including thesis and doctoral work. All of the information that you need is already on the website. Start reading.

[Update: We still receive numerous e-mails requesting assistance with school projects, research, etc. Again, we cannot assist you with information or methodologies for school projects on any aspect of suicide. Period. Everything that you need is on the site. If you need additional help, please ask your instructor. Thank you.]

We receive a lot of e-mail asking for things that are clearly listed on the menu (What are the causes? What are the warning signs? Do you have statistics? What are the hotline numbers? Is there a suicide support group in [any city]? etc, etc!). Your questions can be answered by viewing the menu and clicking the appropriate category. So please take some time to view the menu. And then view the "What's New" and "Articles" sections. If you cannot find what you are looking for in the menu, there is probably an article about it. Again, view the "What's New" and "Articles" sections.

We also recieve innumerable general requests for "additional information" and "additional research" about suicide. Again, all of the information is on the website. Start reading.

PLEASE do not send an e-mail asking for additional information about suicide.

We do not want to discourage anyone from writing us. Please DO NOT HESITATE TO WRITE; we are just trying to use our time as effectively as possible with our daily life-or-death battle of suicide prevention, awareness, and support; and we cannot spend 10 hours a day answering questions that are already answered on the pages of the site. So we need to lay down some ground rules!

So please USE THE MENU and READ the appropriate pages of the site and 99.99% of your questions will be answered.

Thank you for your understanding.

Again, ANY e-mails FROM ANYONE that are disrespectful or discourteous in ANY way will be deleted immediately and permanently. And you will NEVER receive a respone.

So, if you cannot be courteous and repectful, do not contact us.

This is painful for all of us! So there is NO disrespect allowed. Ever. Period.

Please view ALL of the e-mail departments below, and then send your e-mail to the appropriate address. Thank you.
