Suicide E-mail Support
Suicide E-mail Support
The most important thing that you can do if you are suicidal is to get help immediately.
Please read the information on the home page
of this website, and, again, if you need
help, get it immediately.
If you do not need immediate help, but have concerns about depression or suicide that you would like to address via e-mail, you can send an e-mail to the address below.
This suicide e-mail support address is maintained by a great organization known as the Befrienders.
The service is free.
All e-mails are read every day by trained volunteers.
All of the volunteers use the pseudonym "Jo".
The Befrienders try to respond to all e-mail within 24 hours. But if there
is a slight delay, please be patient.
Your e-mails are confidential.
Do not use this e-mail address if you are in immediate danger because of thoughts
of suicide.
If you need immediate assistance CALL 911 NOW
And remember that you can call 1-800-SUICIDE any time that you need to.
This e-mail address should not be used as you sole support system, but as a valuable addition to your support system.
Please review the information on the home page of this website for additional information.
