Should I Really Call 911 If I am Acutely Suicidal?

Should I Really Call 911 If I am Acutely Suicidal?

by Kevin Caruso

If you are acutely suicidal, you should not hesitate to call 911.

You may believe that you should not call 911 if you are acutely suicidal. But I'm sure that you would not hesitate to call 911 if someone else's life was in danger.

If you are acutely suicidal you are probably suffering from a mental illness, like depression. And you either have not received treatment, or the treatment that you have received has not yet been effective for you.

By calling 911, you can get emergency treatment to get you through the critical stage of your suicidal crisis. An effective treatment can then be sought to properly treat the depression over the long term.

Do not worry about what neighbors, friends, and family members might think. It does not matter.

What matters is that you immediately get the critical help that you need.

So please to not hesitate to call 911 if you need to.

Either for yourself, or for someone else.

If you or someone you know is suicidal, please go to the Home Page of this website for immediate help.

Thank you.

I love you.

Take care,

Kevin Caruso
